Cyber Security Specialist - Cheshire - £43k/£50K (Permanent)

Location: Cheshire Country: UK Rate: £43k - £50k per annum
 

Are you an experienced Cyber Security Specialist looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? Our reputable client is seeking a motivated individual to join their dynamic team as a Cyber Security Specialist.

Join our client, a leading healthcare organisation, as a Cyber Security Specialist and play a crucial role in safeguarding their digital assets and ensuring the protection of their information systems. As the expert in Cyber Security, you will lead the implementation of their Cyber Security agenda and be responsible for monitoring systems, addressing vulnerabilities, and developing policies and procedures to mitigate potential threats.

Responsibilities:
* Monitor global cyber security threats and implement appropriate controls to protect our client's information assets
* Identify and address vulnerabilities in infrastructure and applications
* Ensure the protection of ICT services from malware and emerging threats
* Continually assess and improve Cyber Security services and procedures
* Develop Cyber Security procedures based on best practises
* Coordinate digital asset and system patching to maintain effective Cyber Security
* Review security risks associated with infrastructure components and systems
* Provide technical advice and support to ICT professionals and users
* Collaborate with the Information Governance team to ensure compliance with information governance requirements
* Assist in achieving relevant Cyber Security certifications
* Ensure proper management and accuracy of asset database for Cyber Security services
* Develop the skills and competencies of ICT staff in Cyber Security
* Perform audits and vulnerability assessments on digital assets
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and national policies related to Cyber Security

Experience and Qualifications:
* Degree in Cyber Security or equivalent experience
* Cyber security qualifications or equivalent industry certifications
* Detailed knowledge of Desktop and Server or network security
* Familiarity with Cyber Essentials Plus CE+ requirements
* Good understanding of Cyber Security best practises, standards, and terminology
