Data Protection and Compliance Analyst (Contract)

Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester, England Country: UK Rate: £425 per day
 

My client is looking for a Data Protection and Compliance Analyst on an initial 6 month contract to support the Privacy by Design and Default objective of the team on several new projects. Meeting appropriate measures and governance which are in place to meet compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR).

Responsibilities Include:

Drive Data Protection by design/default across the organisation. Ensuring full consideration is given to data protection issues

Work with the wider technology function and project teams to identify those projects, changes and new initiatives.

Ensuring that DPIA's are completed, Record of Processing Activity (ROPA) is current and completion of Legitimate Interest Tests (LIA's)

Support the business in assessment of the business Data Protection by Design & Default controls against ISO37100 and obtaining/maintaining ISO 27001/ISO 27701

Skills Required Include:

Demonstrate excellent and effective communication skills with all stakeholders and externally on all aspect of the Regulations with particular focus on Data Protection by Design and Default.

Exhibit excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, as well as the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectives.

Exhibit excellent influencing skills and experience in managing/support projects

Proven track record and experience in developing data protection policies, procedures and training and awareness content

Excellent working knowledge of the Data Protection Act 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation, and the Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations.

Ability to articulate the importance of customer and employee privacy and rights. Comfort with promoting data protection up and down the management chain, including audiences who have varying levels of familiarity with the topic.
