Location: Manchester, UK
We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to join our prestigious education client on a fixed term basis within the Strategic Change Office. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering strategic projects aligned with the organisation's objectives. Starting ASAP, paying up to £56,000 per annum.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide recommendations for project definition, resource estimation, and budgeting to maximise potential benefits.
- Align projects with our strategic vision and plan, advising governance bodies on proposed benefits and change drivers.
- Support the implementation of a comprehensive delivery approach for Programme and Project Management.
Operational:
- Manage project life-cycles, including governance structures, team management, progress tracking, and budget oversight.
- Assume business change manager responsibilities where required, including change design, implementation, and work stream management.
- Foster stakeholder satisfaction by delivering accurate information for strategic decision-making and enhancing project management maturity.
Managerial:
- Lead and develop Project Management resources through regular reviews, coaching, and succession planning.
- Implement mandatory policies and processes within the team, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Promote an inclusive, supportive culture within the team, fostering well-being and transparent leadership.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in project management, preferably within a complex organisational setting.
- Strong understanding of change management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Relevant qualifications in Project Management or related fields are desirable.
Initially offered as a 2-year Fixed Term Contract.
